Paint correction is the systematic treatment and permanent removal of such things as swirl marks, scratches, bird etchings, water marks, oxidation, cobwebbing, machine buffer trails, hologram effects and micro-marring. In many cases, the color of the car can be restored back to its original depth and warmth.

Paint correction procedures are often the real alternative to having your car re-sprayed, obviously depending on the severity of the defects. This level of detailing is carried out to remove swirl scratches from your car’s paint. It can also remove some light to medium scratches and other defects.

Select either the Combination or Extreme Detail package to start; then, at least once a month, we'll detail your car inside and out with our Maintenance Detail package.

The Concours Detail varies widely from customer to customer and vehicle to vehicle as we look to provide a truly unique service. However, there are usually 4 main stages which include:

Cleansing

1. A gentle citrus based pre-wash treatment of the exterior of your car (including wheels)
2. A thorough clean of the wheels using a special ph balanced solution
3. Extra time spent on all wheel details using specialty brushes
4. A foaming of the exterior of your car using a custom cleaning and conditioning solution followed by a rinse
5. A wash of the outside of your car and wheels using a high quality shampoo and lambs’ wool mitt
6. Paint cleansed of any prior waxes and sealants
7. Wheel well cleaning
8. A rinse and blow and dry of the car
9. A cleanse of all door jambs (Doors, Hood, Trunk, and Gas Cap areas)
10. Gentle removal of any remaining bugs and tar from the exterior paintwork
11. Exterior glass cleaning
12. Additional attention to every part of the vehicle from rubber seals to gas caps and spare wheels
13. A full interior detail including:
    • Dust, clean, and dress air vents, cup holders, etc.
    • Glass cleaning and polishing A thorough vacuuming and dust removal
    • Vinyl and rubber cleaning and treatment
    • Full carpet cleansing and shampoo
    • Leather cleaning and conditioning
    • Plastic polishing to help remove minor scratches and marks
    • Chrome/aluminum trim polishing
    • Application of fabric guard to protect carpets/upholstery
14. A full engine bay detail (including underside of hood)

Rejuvenation and Correction

1. An extended examination of your vehicle's current condition
2. An exterior claying to remove surface contaminants and leave the paintwork beautifully smooth
3. Initial paintwork cleansing to prepare for the paintwork correction using our proprietary cleansing system
4. Extensive multi-step exterior paint correction to remove/reduce unsightly swirls and light scratches
5. Cleaning and Polishing of all jambs (Doors, Hood, Trunk, and Gas Cap areas)
6. Exterior vinyl and rubber rejuvenation with UV protection
7. Cleaning and polishing of any chrome/aluminum surfaces
8. An additional foaming, hand wash, rinse and dry of the exterior of the car
9. The machine application of a specialist glaze/cleanser to enhance the gloss and ensure good wax bonding

Protect and Shine

1. Extended detail cleaning of all badges/car logos
2. Exterior glass polishing
3. Polishing and restoration of all exterior light lenses
4. Hand application of a coat of very high quality long life exterior paint sealant
5. A clean and buff of the wheels using a high grade wheel polish and sealant
6. The application of a show car tire dressing
7. The application of a wheel well dressing
8. A brush off of all exterior surfaces including all cracks and crevices
9. A buff and inspection to enhance the shine and ensure that nothing has been overlooked

Layering and Final Inspections

1. The application of an additional coat of long life exterior paint sealant
2. The application of the first layer of high quality carnauba wax* (50%-70% carnauba)
3. The application of a further layer of high quality carnauba wax* (50%-70% carnauba)
4. The application of a further layer of wheel sealant
5. A final brush off of all surfaces including cracks and crevices
6. A final detailing "topping off", buff and inspection
7. A discussion with you of the work undertaken, the results seen and a report on the vehicle surface condition
8. If you are attending a show we will be happy to supply a final “top off” preparation on site

* Carnauba is the world’s purest, hardest, and most transparent natural wax. It is harvested from the top of the leaves of the «Copernica prunifera», a fan palm native to northern Brazil. The highest and most expensive quality is classified as rare Grade One Carnauba which is the products we use. The level of shine increases with the percentage of carnauba used in a wax formula.

A higher percent of carnauba wax will bring out the depth, definition, and luster in the paint. Its reflective and protective properties are remarkable and absolutely unparalleled. Unlike an ordinary “polish”, that simply polishes a paint surface shiny and allowing lower layers of paint to get dry and “starved”, our wax restores the valuable oils of the original paint finish. Essential oils, such as passion fruit, avocado or almond are used as the carriers for the wax, give these products their wonderful aromas and create an incredible swirl-free gloss.
